Adaptive Design

Fieldworks Collaborative designs experiences and public engagement platforms that respond to varied sites and contexts.  Working at the intersection of nature and culture, our work aims to animate urban, domestic and rural environments including parks, neglected lots, gardens, wild landscapes and exhibition spaces.  We initiate dialogues and strive to activate public curiosity and collective engagement in re-imagining our world.  We employ a wide-range of strategies, including interactive public artworks, exploratory walks, harvesting projects, spirit tastings, chit-chats and workshops.

We are actively seeking opportunities to work with public and private groups internationally. Please contact us if you are interested in working with us.

Curated Conversations/Landscape Tastes

We cqn design and host special spirit/harvest tasting events along with chit-chats in partnership with with your group or organization.  We will work with you to develop conversations themes connected to the intersections of nature and culture that are tuned to your mission or locale.

We streamlined a process for this work through projects at The Growlery and 500 Capp Street in San Francisco, as well as the Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga, Ca. We work with partners to design conversation themes, often times relating to the surrounding landscape, landmarks and community concerns. Host partners work with us to identify a diverse group of invited participants of all ages, with a wide-ranging mix of cultural, experiential, intuitive and disciplinary knowledge, to ensure a rich inquiry and exploratory dialogue. We then utilize chit-chats as a research tool to generate ideas, build new relationships and inspire collective learning and action.

We are eager to work with any organization or individual who want to host an event with us. Please contact us for more information.

SEEKING HARVESTING OPPORTUNITIES

We are interested in working in a diversity of landscapes that offer harvesting opportunities that can expand our Spirit Collection that respond to the specific landscapes.

Please contact us if you have fruit trees available for harvesting!
